Sometimes you want to be anywhere (literally ANYWHERE) other than with your kids…
Your rage is bubbling under the surface and can blow at the next “MOOOOOOM!”
As soon as your kid refuses their breakfast you feel antsy and annoyed at your life... immediately followed by a shame storm that sounds something like -
“I should be grateful… so many other people have it worse than I do.”
You want to raise mindful, kind and resilient kids, and you sense that it might take a bit more ‘leading by example’ than you’re currently doing.
But right now:
-
You find yourself losing your shit with your kids and you don’t like it
-
You feel run down and exhausted
-
It seems like there’s barely any time to sit down and take a deep breath, let alone ‘zen out’ enough to be kind and patient...so how is that possible!?

I get it.
I’m a mom to 2 girls and know the frustration, antsiness and bubbling rage - all of which was on steroids in these past couple years with the global pandemic.
Becoming a mindful parent isn’t a light switch that we can flip… it takes knowledge and practice.
And while there’s no quick solution to being a mindful parent and raising mindful kids, I can tell you that there is a path of more ease and fun.
One where you can get support and learn from someone who has done all the training and reading for you… so you can just show up to learn and dive into the practices.
Where you can get help from a trained professional and fellow busy mom who has the same fears and desires as you.

I'm in"To say Sarah and The School of MOM has helped me become a better mom, wife, business partner, and boss would be a vast understatement. ... She has provided me with tools that have helped me be more present and appreciative of my time with my kids through mindfulness and the practice of discernment (the pause between feelings and action), and she taught me how to be less frustrated with challenging situations and/or people in my life through resetting my expectations and using boundaries. ... she has helped shape me into a better human for all of the people in my life, but more importantly for myself."

Because let’s be honest - as moms we don’t have time for shit that won’t help us.
We don’t have time for fluffy.
We want the punchlines and the proven practices that effectively lead to change.
And as mentioned above, I’m not going to sugar coat this practice. There is work involved. You can’t sign up for a series and expect to absorb the benefits by osmosis. ;) Wouldn't that be so nice!
But… you can chip away at digestible and carefully curated information that is actually relevant and helpful to your life as a mom.
There’s a saying in meditation:
You should meditate for 20 min/day.
Unless you’re super busy, and then meditate for an hour.
The more realistic parent version of this is: Do you have 5 minutes a day to meditate? If not - you realllllllllly need to meditate.
Why? The scientific evidence behind Mindfulness meditation is decisive - it can lower your stress, increase your productivity and performance and offer you quicker access to patience and calm in the midst of daily chaos.
But I get it — mindfulness isn't usually the first thing we choose if we have a spare minute. Let’s be honest - scrolling instagram or watching Netflix is much more appealing than sitting quietly with your monkey mind.
Don’t get me wrong, I love a good tv series (just finished I’m Sorry and HIGHLY recommend it!), but keeping ourselves busy and occupied all the time quickly results in us being less efficient and less productive. In turn, this only makes us more stressed and more “busy!”
"Sarah opened my eyes to the power of mindfulness and gave me space to learn how to practice it. Sarah's expertise is only surpassed by her warmth, compassion and commitment to helping women cope with stress, uncertainty and life's daily grind. The School of MOM has enabled me to connect with a community of women who offer support, understanding and a sense of belonging in a world that can be isolating at times. I've only just begun to explore the practice of mindfulness and can clearly see the benefits of incorporating it into my life. I give all the credit to The School of MOM."
